The cleaning granules produce free active chlorine (FAC), which slays beastly bacteria and beats harmful organisms into submission. The chlorine treatment is easy to apply and, because it has minimal impact on the water’s pH levels, makes maintaining a pool incredibly simple. If water temperature exceeds 20°C then the recommended amount of chlorine solution can be poured straight into a pool. Best of all, because they rapidly dissolve in a pool, you don’t even have to wait around for hours wasting valuable swimming time! If water temperature is below 20°C then the swimming pool chlorine granules should be dissolved in a plastic container of water before application. 4. Clearwater PH Plus 1kg
    £8.39 inc VAT
Bestway Clearwater 1kg pH Plus is the best way (boom, boom) to avoid itchy eyes and skin because swimming pool pH levels have dropped below the recommended level. To avoid a dreaded dose of red eye it’s vital that acidity is controlled and pH Plus is a simple and highly effective way to achieve this. The recommended pH balance of pool water is between 7.2 and 7.6 (you can test pH levels using Clearwater Dip Test Strips, which are available on the Bestway Chemicals section of the website). When pH levels drop below 7.2 acidity increases and pH treatment needs to be applied. PH balance can be altered by leaves falling into the water, beetles enjoying a skinny dip, cosmetics from your skin and even urine!Applying the pH water treatment couldn’t be simpler. After dissolving the recommended amount of pH chemicals in warm water you simply add the solution to the pool, increasing its pH level. After eight hours, pH levels should be checked again and increased or decreased accordingly. If the pH level climbs above 7.6 you should use Bestway Clearwater pH Minus, which you’ll find inside the Bestway Chemicals section of the website, to reduce it.• Increase pH level of pool water• Enables chlorine treatment to work more effectively• Simply dissolve in container and add to water Learn More
  5. Clearwater 25 Test Strips
    £9.59 inc VAT
Bestway Clearwater 25 x Dip Test Strips are a quick and easy way to check chemical levels in your above ground pool. Untested water can become a breeding ground for beastly bacteria or develop a chemical imbalance that makes eyes and skin feel like you’ve battled with a swarm of agitated bees.Testing pool water with the dip strips couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is dip one of the water testing strips into a pool, quickly remove it, hold it horizontally and check the results on the handy colour chart that’s printed on the container. The chlorine test strips also highlight water’s pH and Total Alkalinity levels. There are three separate sections on each strip to indicate each individual level.Chlorine levels inside an above ground pool should be 1 – 3 ppm (3 – 5 ppm for spas), pH levels should be 7.2 – 7.6 and Total Alkalinity levels should measure 80 – 100 ppm or 100 – 120 ppm, depending on the chemical solutions used to treat a pool. Using the chlorine, alkalinity and pH testing strips to check water balance enables you to identify what chemicals need to be added to bring them within the correct parameters. • 25 dip test strips for chlorine users• Use colour scale to check test results• Indicates chlorine, pH & alkalinity levels of your pool water Learn More
  6. Clearwater PH Minus 1.5kg
    £9.59 inc VAT
Bestway Clearwater 1.5kg pH Minus is a simple and effective way to keep the pH levels of a pool within the recommended boundaries, reducing alkalinity and producing a more comfortable swimming environment. It’s basically the best way to avoid an influx of itchy skin or eyes that sting and look like cherries. It’s scientifically proven that swimming pool pH levels should be between 7.2 and 7.6 (this can be tested using Clearwater Dip Test Strips, which are available on the Bestway Chemicals section of the website). When water pH levels clamber above 7.6 alkalinity increases and pH treatment is required. Anything and everything that enters a pool contains its own pH level which, quite naturally, alters the pH balance of a pool. Contaminants can include falling leaves, trespassing animals, dead skin and even faeces!Using the pH reducer couldn’t be easier. Once the recommended amount has been dissolved in warm water the solution is added to the pool, reducing high pH water to a more suitable level. After eight hours pH levels should be checked again and decreased or increased until they fall within the bracket of 7.2 to 7.6. If the pH level has fallen below 7.2 you should use Bestway Clearwater pH Plus, available inside the Bestway Chemicals collection, to increase it to the correct level.• Increase pH level of pool water• Enables chlorine treatment to work more effectively• Simply dissolve in container and add to water Learn More
